Support Appropriate to YOU
Your tutors mark and comment on your work. The friendly ‘Online Community’ gives advice (with professionals on the group too!) and there is other support: This includes webinars and free video tutorials that support you through all the qualification courses.
Foundation courses can be done by working alone if you choose. All level 3-and-above qualification coaching courses need you to learn with the people around you – people who you can coach and who will be doing some simple coaching – so you get to learn and have fun from the receiving end of coaching! And the online community can connect you with people to work and play with!
The flexible-learning methodology for coaching was proven by Prof. Angus McLeod, PhD for Newcastle College (NC); NC used this format (2004-2010) to train 20,000 coaching students using his designs. Now you can achieve that with the AMA Coaching School using updated coaching technology, also led by Angus McLeod!
External Certification
We are an approved centre for training and offer certification to standards that count nationally – for your confidence and your CPD records. Certificates for these courses are issued by the West Midlands Region office. Our Dean of Training Standards ensures consistency and quality for you.
At the moment our most demanding courses are the 6xUnit ‘Advanced Practitioner’. For these courses there is an additional requirement including 2 days of training room learning (only UK-based currently, sorry) with your fellow learners – the Advanced Courses will add to your costs if you decide to go that far with us – we do however publish all our prices in advance – there are no hidden costs anywhere – what you see is what you get with the AMA Coaching School. Can We Save you Over £1,000 pounds, Oh Yes!
There is no such thing as a ‘free’ training introduction course. The people who subscribe will pay for all the others that do not take up the once-in-lifetime-offer! The actual fees of such ‘trainings’ vary between c. £2,400 and £6,500. You can test our courses for just £60 and no AMA Coaching School course, even with two days training room work, could cost you over £1100! So you can save well over a thousand pounds! Our National Open College Network Centre Status (No. 60119) and External Endorsement of ALL courses, provide you with value and quality. The School is typically a cheaper option and not a ‘cheap’ option! And remember, 20,000 learners have enrolled on Angus McLeod’s flexible learning courses so far!
We charge you less by not running ‘free’ courses that subscribers will pay for afterwards, by reducing the overheads, working with you by distance/flexible learning and by not being greedy! With the £1,000-5,000 pounds you save, you could choose to try a number of face-to-face days with us (or other providers) AND STILL have money left over for a holiday!
Why you SHOULD NOT train in coaching!!
We also help you to NOT make a buying decision if coaching or our courses are not for you. So, we are ethical and want you to feel confident that you chose right. We provide self-assessments for you to check out whether our training is right for you. Your assessments will give you confidence to enroll or to be sure that coaching skills are NOT for you. We also provide you with example course content (other examples under ‘courses‘). And we also give examples of the type of course work you will be doing and examples of student submissions too (other examples under ‘certification‘).
